The Mongol Rally is about doing something beneficial. It’s our aim to collect as much money as possible for non-profit organisations. In 2013 one half of the funds is going to “cool earth” (http://www.coolearth.org/) which helps to protecting the endangered rainforest, the other half is for a self-determined association.
Additionally the Mongol Rally is a huge adventure, of course. From start to the finish line you will travel about 10,000 miles with a car, which was never meant for such a distance. It’s on you to choose your route to Mongolia. However you should manage it within six weeks. The vehicle must not be older than 10 years and the engine displacement has to be 1.2 L at most. In Mongolia the car will be sold by auction for a good cause.
